Barbie gets married

"Jeff, you have been absolutely amazing". That was the compliment from Eleanor, our very own Barbie-Doll Bride, towards the end of her wedding to Adam at Wentworth Golf Club.
As seen, she had a wonderful time, as did all her relatives and other guests. Actually, so did I!.

Oh what a wonderful night it was at The Britannia International Hotel for the Sikh wedding of Karmveer Bance. Cannot remember such a large gathering of people enjoying themselves so much. 478 of them all singing & dancing at the same time. You could hear the noise in the street! Pictured are two of the lovelies amongst the delightful guests. I think the one on the left is flirting with me. What d'you think?

Oh what an exhilarating, fun-filled frolicking-in-the-snow wedding was enjoyed by Ryan & Michelle in North London. A few minutes outside for a couple of lovely, romantic pictures and back inside for a hot toddy. A never-to-be forgotten day.

Had a great day at CHANNELS GOLF CLUB at the wedding of Rob and his lovely, Polish bride, Anna. It was enormous fun as most of the Bride's family came over from Poland for the wedding and couldn't speak a word of English. I had learned a few words of Polish so that I could greet them in their own language. I was also able to assist in their "Bread & Salt" ceremony. An old Polish custom which I had seen before. Sorry, been so busy haven't had time to update my blog. Recently worked-at venues: DOWN HALL HOTEL. WOOLSTON MANOR. LONGSTOWE HALL. THE MANOR OF GROVES. THE PRIORY. PARK INN HOTEL. FORTY HALL. THE REID ROOMS.
All great venues with gorgeous brides (and mums) but Longstowe Hall sticks in my mind particularly. Its a small country manor house but with the most exquisite grounds and gardens I've ever seen. Almost as gorgeous as the Bride, the lovely Rebecca.
Other beauties I've had the pleasure of meeting during my recent Toast mastering: Susanne, Emma-louise, Ilona, Leyla, Ciara, Laura, Nicola, Louise, Phyllis and Gemma.
By the way Gemma, a week after your wedding I met your Mum and Dad at Gatwick airport. They were getting away for a few days.
Just attended a wedding fair at FORTY HALL Enfield. The joint was jumping and packed. Did a lot of business and so did the other exhibitors.

A Barmitzvar at the LONDON AQUARIUM, a wedding at QUENDON HALL PARKLANDS and another at GILWELL PARK have kept me well occupied lately.
The wedding at QUENDON HALL PARKLANDS was particularly memorable as it was a Hindu wedding. The ceremony, which I'd not seen before was traditional and highly ritualized and lasted for almost two hours.
The picture is of the Bride, Natasha, and Groom, Amit. Fascinating.

HATFIELD HOUSE

Historic HATFIELD HOUSE was the glorious setting for the barmitzvar of young Ben. I wasn't in my usual Toastmaster's red jacket as they wanted me all togged up as Henry The Eighth. It was a very warm day as the sun was shining right up until the early evening. It was a wonderfull event. By the way, that bulge in the front of my costume contains my own personal property!

Other interesting venues recently have been NAZEING GOLF CLUB and THEOBALDS PARK COUNTRY CLUB.

PRISM WEDDING

The Prism Restaurant, a really swish venue in the city was the scene for the wedding between Carla and Daniel. What a day and evening it was! It went on 'till midnight but it was worth it to see the look of sheer happiness on the face of the bride, her new husband, and just as importantly, her charming mum.

A Weekend of Weddings

Saturday, and I was at The Hilton Hotel Watford for the joining in matrimony between English Rose, Vivien and her dark, handsome, Italian Groom Carlo.

Sunday found me at The Down Hall Hotel for the wedding between vivacious Leigh and Simon. This was doubly interesting as I was asked to officiate at the "glass-breaking" ceremony immediately after the civil ceremony was over. For legal reasons this could only be done after the registrars had left the room.

Beautiful Down Hall Hotel was the setting for the wedding of handsome English Groom, Steve, and his exquisitely pretty Chinese Bride Susan. The day included a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony which I had never seen before.

Just had a most interesting meeting with a delightful client at Hatfield House, the venue for a big family event in July. The baronial hall at Hatfield House will be a wonderful setting for a function and I'm to be costumed as Henry The Eighth!

Just attended two successful wedding fairs, both organized by The Wedding Guide, at Forty Hall, Enfield, and Chingford Assembly Hall.
Officiated at a prestigious, black-tie event at The House Of Commons. several dignitaries present including a handful of M.P's.
But most exciting of all was a mega-brilliant wedding at
The Copthorne Tara Hotel, Kensington High Street Between two ardent football-fan- families; one for Spurs and the other for Arsenal. what a night of hilarity and fun!

Winter-wonderland wedding

Smashing wedding yesterday in St Johns Wood, North London. At one point I went outside and saw that it was snowing quite heavily. I immediately got the photographer and told him "There's a great opportunity outside. Shall I get the bride and groom"? The photographer's name is NEVILLE BLOOM. He had a look, took a test camera shot, and being sharp and on-the-ball said "Go for it" I ran back inside and practically dragged the bride and groom from their guests and, ignoring a couple of onlooker's whinging "You can't go out there" got them outside. The result was several romantic pics of the pair of them frolicking in the snow which they will cherish forever. Opportunity meets inspiration meets preparation; nice one!

Wedding Fair

Attended another very successful wedding fair yesterday at The Royal Chace Hotel, Enfield, organised by The Wedding guide. I really enjoy wedding fairs, particularly when I take a few bookings!
Oh well, got a big wedding coming up this weekend. Better check my kit.
